Antonio López (1943-1987) was a Puerto Rican artist and visionary who masterfully interpreted the trends of his time. He became one of the world’s most renowned illustrators and the most influential figure in fashion illustration history. His work fused Art Nouveau, Pop Art, and Surrealism with a dynamic approach, bringing his figures to life through masterful use of color and fluidity, making him a 20th-century icon unique in his field.
Developed in thematic sections, the exhibition focuses on López’s use of fashion illustration, photography, and Super 8 films as a pioneering visual vocabulary. It also explores his personal diaries and drawings, which document his creative process.
