The Museum of Art of Puerto Rico (MAPR) is a space for everyone. Your contribution helps preserve and share Puerto Rico’s artistic heritage, support our educational programs, develop exhibitions, and keep a place alive where people of all ages can discover, learn, and connect with art.
As a private, nonprofit institution, the MAPR relies on the support of its community, individuals, foundations, and corporations to continue offering accessible and enriching cultural experiences.
More than 25 years creating connections through art
Since opening its doors in 2000, the Museum of Art of Puerto Rico was born with the mission of discovering the richness of Puerto Rican artistic heritage, fostering connections between our communities, nature, and global culture.
For more than 25 years, the MAPR has welcomed millions of visitors and presented hundreds of individual and collective exhibitions by Puerto Rican, Caribbean, and international artists. Additionally, it has developed art workshops, courses, educational programs, concerts, talks, research, and cultural activities that have impacted students, teachers, families, and communities.
Each contribution strengthens the Museum's mission and allows us to continue creating spaces for encounter, learning, and celebrating our artistic and cultural identity.
Your support can make it possible:

- Art exhibitions that present new perspectives on Puerto Rico's history and artistic creation.

Your support of the Museum of Art of Puerto Rico (MAPR) helps preserve, study, and share Puerto Rico’s artistic heritage with present and future generations.
As a private, non-profit institution 501(c)(3) Recognized at the federal and state levels, contributions made to the MAPR can be tax-deductible, according to applicable regulations. The permanent collection of the Museum of Art of Puerto Rico continues to grow thanks to people who share our mission of preserving and celebrating Puerto Rico's art.

Our permanent collection reflects the richness and diversity of Puerto Rican artistic expressions. Through a broad and pluralistic perspective, the Museum recognizes Puerto Rican artists as well as creators born outside the island who have contributed to the development of local and international art, and those who have found in Puerto Rico a space to create and contribute to our visual arts.
Each work that arrives at the Museum becomes part of a collective story: an opportunity for new generations to discover, learn about, and connect with our artistic heritage.
