“Bosiba” means “large stone” in Taíno. In this piece, the blurred landscape plays with the effect of pareidolia, making the viewer feel as though they are being watched or judged from a distance — an ancestral distance. It is a commentary on the country’s economic situation and its reliance on foreign agriculture.
