Painter. Studied Fine Arts and Spanish Literature at the National Autonomous University of Mexico and completed a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Arkansas in 1956. Subsequently was awarded a scholarship by the lnstitute of International Education to study in Spain and by Yale University, where she earned a Master's Degree in Art. Her artistic career develops in Puerto Rico where she resides since 1961. She’s had an outstanding participation in the promotion of the arts. Was partner-founder of the Congress of Abstract Artists of Puerto Rico in 1984 and was part of the Association of Women Artists of Puerto Rico. She was also a founding member of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Puerto Rico in 1984 and of the Art Students League of San Juan, which she presided from 1977 to 1979 and where she teaches currently.
