Painter and printmaker. At the age of eighteen he moved to New York where he obtained a BFA from New York University (1973) and later obtained an MFA in painting from the same university (1974). During this period, he dedicates part of his time to help youth artistic development through organizations such as ASPIRA and Mobilization for Youth. After completing his studies, he returned to Puerto Rico and worked as a professor of art education at the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón. He has presented his work in various solo and group exhibitions in Puerto Rico, the United States, Venezuela, Spain and Japan. He received several awards for his painting production, among them the First Prize for Puerto Rican Landscape in the University Art Salons of the Institute of Culture in its 1980 and 1982 editions. His graphic production is well known in the private and corporate sphere due to his commissions of limited serigraphic editions. His pictorial production ranges from traditional Puerto Rican landscapes to abstract oil paintings, where his expressive character and chromatic dynamism predominate.
