Works with photography, painting, drawing, sculpture, video and installations. He earned a Bachelor's Degree, Magna Cum Laude, in Environmental Architecture at the Architecture School of the University of Puerto Rico as well as an Architect Diploma from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana in Medellín, Colombia, and a Master's Degree in Art from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. His work was included in the Whitney Biennale (2002) in the United States and in various exhibitions in Europe and Latin America. His work is in the collection of the Whitney Museum in NYC. He is a tenured professor in the Art department of QCC- City University of New York, where he has taught since 2000.
My work explores the language and syntax of various artistic disciplines such as photography, painting, sculpture, architectural drawing and indeterminate musical notation, deconstructing their structural systems (spatial, temporal, graphic, musical and linguistic) and trying to create new visual and poetic possibilities.
