Collection
View moreThe Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico’s (MAPR) collection is home to works of art from the 17th century to the present. This collection is made up of artwork produced by Puerto Rican Master artists as well as artists from the younger generation. Currently, this young collection has more than 1,000 works of art that include prints, paintings, drawings, sculpture, photographs and new media, among others. The collection has been shaped and is a product of acquisitions and donations from the private and public sector. As a museum founded in the 21st century, the MAPR’s acquisitions program is still current and we are committed to make this collection a fundamental pillar of the cultural legacy of Puerto Rico.
In this section of MAPR.ORG you can explore a sample of our collection. This time we have added search options that help organize the artwork by era, category or genre. We will be adding new works of art every month and we urge you to always visit this section to find something new about the collection.
