Family Program
The Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico (MAPR) offers creative workshops and storytelling activites to strengthen family values and encourage childhood creativity while at the same time familiarizing children with the diverse artistic expressions present in the permanent and temporary MAPR exhibitions. Throughout the calendar of activities you will receive the information for upcoming family events at the Museum.
Weekends
Saturdays at 3:00 pm the schedule alternates between The Artist’s Secret – where you will learn how an artwork is created and you will discover the tools and materials used by artists and afterwards you will apply your newfound knowledge in a workshop - and Journey of the Imagination – an opportunity to create stories, songs, dances, poems or drawings, inspired in artworks of our collection. Consult our calendar for the next scheduled workshops.
Sundays at 3:00 pm in the activARTE Ángel Ramos Gallery we present Once Upon a Time... our storytelling program for children and their families followed by creative workshops. Young visitors have the opportunity to create their own works of art inspired by a story while at the same time it encourages family bonding with their families.
